Jonah Levin has been there. He knows what it's like to sit atop the world of pop music. But nothing he ever knew could prepare him for the skid to the bottom.

Set to the sounds of Simon's 10-song score and featuring polished, knowing performances that put you in the know about the sometiumes wacky, always intriguing star-making machinery of the recording industry, ONE TRICK PONY's story centers on Jonah ( Simon ), a waning rock star pushing 40 on the calendar but approaching nowhere on the charts.

Jonah's recording career is as burnt-out as his marriage, but he would sooner lose everything than hang up his guitar strap. It's this obsession that makes Jonah just like the center-ring circus pony that blindly repeats its one-and only - trick over and over again.

ONE - TRICK - PONY says a lot about the music world and what music means to the performer and audience. And it goes deeper. The movie, Simon explains , "is a lot about what happened to my generation. Somewhere in your early 30s you start noticing that the garment of your youth is becoming frayed. What do you do then ? It's a crucial time and only the very few come through it."
